Abstract:

INTRODUTION

I applied to these thesis project for my strong interest in international experiences: it has been a great chance to study cultural aspects, social transformation and contrasts of a totally so various society characterized by a continuous process of development like China, and a newsworthy exchange process in working togheter with students from abroad.

This thesis comes from a focus on the workshop CUHK-POLITO Joint Studio, themed “Defining Publicness in Infrastructural Architecture An Integrated Design of Hub Pumping Station, Qianhai, Shenzhen”.

Through a research based design of architecture, the purpose was to explore the possibility of generating public space & alternative urbanism out of the infrastructure of production.
