In-Premises Private Cloud

Vertical development of a personal cloud solution The “cloud”, as it is intended today, is raising more and more concerns related to user data privacy and security. As a consequence, the interest for in-premises and private clouds, independent from any external entity, is very current and already sees some existing solutions relying on open-source services. In this context, the candidate is asked to assess the state-of-the-art to identify possible existing solutions/components to create a new concept of private cloud, full-fledged vertically integrated, easy to use out-of-the-box. Furthermore, the creation of an ad-hoc Linux distribution or the development of new technologies to allow portability of the private cloud across different platforms and architectures is also in scope with the proposed internship. The development activities foresee the use of the rust programming language in a Linux-centric environment.
