Patent Landscape Analysis of Batteries for Electric Cars

The purpose of this paper is to create a Patent Landscape Report on batteries developed for the propulsion of electric cars. The first part of the work consists of a description of the technology under consideration, with an economic assessment of the market and its future prospects. Subsequently, through the use of data obtained from patent databases, an analysis of the state of inventive activity in the field was developed, highlighting the main innovators and trends in geography and time. In the final part of the work, the level of detail was increased by performing the same analysis on some technological subclasses.
