Approaching la Salle de Gymnastique: a comparative case study towards reconciling fascist structures. Relatrice: Manuela Mattone - Politecnico di Torino Co-Relatrice: Carolina Rodriguez - Universidad de los Andes This research reconstructs the historical narrative around valle d’aosta and la salle de gymanstique, the selected case study, a building erected by the fascist regime in Aosta as a vehicle of indoctrination and vigilance. The purpose of the research is to discover the events that have led to its abandonment in contemporary aosta and exemplify it as a comparable case study accompanied by a reconciliation strategy. Other buildings under similar circumstances can benefit from this research, therefore supporting their rehabilitation and reintegration in contemporary cities.
