Abstract:

The automotive industry is constantly evolving, and one of the most important trends is the increasing connectivity between vehicles and other systems. This connectivity allows for a variety of benefits, such as improved safety, efficiency, and comfort. This thesis focuses on the analysis and implementation of a communication protocol between a Navigation System and the Control Unit of a vehicle. The protocol will allow for the rapid and automatic exchange of data between the user and the vehicle, including information about the route, the weather forecast, and the vehicle’s status. The collected data will be further used to improve the motor efficiency through a thermal control. The thesis will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will involve the analysis of existing communication protocols and the development of a new protocol that meets the specific requirements of the project. The second phase will involve the implementation of the protocol and the testing of its performance. The results of this thesis will contribute to the development of more efficient and performing vehicles. The thesis will also provide valuable insights into the design and implementation of communication protocols for automotive applications.
