Abstract:

There is a growing importance of technology applied in the health sector, more specifically focused on facilitating the planning of operations and surgeries. To tackle this demand, it was proposed to carry out a feasibility study and technical planning to implement a solution that helps the medical team's time and efficiency during a surgical operation. For this, possible alternatives were evaluated based on the design methodology, and "3D Printing of the Model of the Organ Obtained by the Results of Exams" was defined as the best solution, for which a more in-depth technical study and project was prepared. Thus, the technical implementation plan was defined, regarding: main problems that could occur in production, suppliers, distribution network, sequence operation, physical space, human resources, marketing which, and a final financial analysis. It was concluded that there is space to enter the market and there is availability of suppliers of current technologies. That said, it was inferred that the stereolithography printer (SLA) would best fit to develop the solution, due to type and diversity of materials. Also, it is a feasible market that has a low initial investment, and low regular expenditures in human resources, renting, and marketing. The highest expenses are due to maintenance and materials, however, it was concluded that it's possible to achieve a breakeven in 1 to 3 years.
