Abstract: |
Modern road vehicles are equipped with many active systems, ranging from active safety to increase of performance. After a brief description of the systems chosen for this thesis, it will be described the design process of a new high-level controller. The aim is to design a new control architecture where each active system is interconnected with the others, improving the dynamic response of the vehicle and introducing a standard design procedure for the control of these systems. The main focus of the thesis is to increase the safety of the vehicle in critical conditions. A first part describes the preliminary virtual testing done to each system and then the high-level controller is designed and tested. The software used to design and test the control algorithms is VI-CarRealTime in co-simulation with Matlab-Simulink. A final validation was performed on a static simulator. |
