Rel. Alberto De Marco. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Gestionale (Engineering And Management), 2020
Abstract: |
These days institutions are being asked to comply with regulatory requirements in a much more rapid, precise and effective way than ever before. This requires structured and organized institutions that are able to make fast decision and take action to comply with the regulator requirements and expectations. The implementation of information technology solutions supported by a well-defined PMO governance is key in order to reach the organization's objectives efficiently and in time in terms of strategy, compliance and not only. This project was developed with the aim of reaching compliance with GDPR requirements by implementing IT solutions which support the processing of personal data. The scope of this thesis is to provide an insight and compare different agile project management approaches and methodologies used for implementing these IT solutions in a financial institution, providing a set of best practices and guidelines for improving the quality of project management and as a consequence, the project’s outcome. In this limited scoped thesis work, Agile methodologies are introduced, along with an overview of the GDPR. The implementation of IT regulatory requirements using Agile methodologies is subsequently analyzed and detailed through a dedicated case study |
