The influence of the different components characteristics, one each other, on damping. The study will focus on upsetting process analysis and its comparison with calking one. The target is to explore all the characteristics of upsetting to optimize it in terms of punch geometry, pivot needed protrusion before and after the process, upsetting diameter, upsetting depth and cycle time guaranteeing tensioner best performance. The result is addressed to define the PFMEA guideline related to all the steps of process involved in Damping characterization.
