Abstract:

In the following thesis, a numerical–experimental correlation concerning a deployer for a 12U CubeSat has been developed. It addresses different topics, including the linearization of structural elements such as screws, which are simulated in two different ways depending on the needs and advantages of the two simulation approaches. Subsequently, the consequences of nonlinear effects, such as contacts between different structural components, are analyzed. As will be shown, these effects have a significant impact on the variation of the dynamic behavior of the structure. Finally, a comparison between the developed FEM model and the experimental results obtained during testing will be presented.
