Ridesharing: an analysis of performance in low-flow networks.
Rel. Giovanni Zenezini. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Gestionale (Engineering And Management), 2025
| Abstract: |
Ridesharing networks have revolutionised urban transportation, but their effectiveness in low population density areas remains a significant challenge for service providers. As these platforms seek to expand beyond metropolitan centres, understanding how their systems perform in sparse user environments becomes increasingly critical. This thesis examines a ridesharing network's theoretical performance in scarcely populated areas, by analysing its users' recurring behaviours, modelling and simulating them to gather insight on possible outcomes. |
