From AS IS to TO BE Quality and Feasibility Analysis of Leasys S.p.A. Supply Chain.

Rel. Luca Mastrogiacomo. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Gestionale (Engineering And Management), 2025

Abstract:

This thesis examines the operational processes and supply chain management of Leasys S.p.A., a European leader in long-term car rental. Using tools such as the House of Quality (HoQ) and the Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), the study evaluates the efficiency and weaknesses of the current process (AS IS) and proposes an optimized model (TO BE) to improve operational times and costs. The HoQ highlighted strengths like Customer Care services and contract transparency, which are essential for customer retention, as well as weaknesses in logistics management, including vehicle delivery delays and inefficiencies in monitoring systems. Similarly, the FMECA analysis revealed vulnerabilities in data management processes, attributed to an outdated SAP system and manual errors that undermine operational efficiency. The proposed TO BE model includes innovations such as optimized routing algorithms, real-time monitoring, and process digitalization, providing a concrete vision for enhancing Leasys S.p.A.'s supply chain.
