This thesis presents a novel Graphical User Interface (GUI) designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of network capacity management. The proposed GUI focuses on enhancing the overall user experience, improving usability, and streamlining interactions with automated processes that were implemented to reduce manual workflows, which had become unsustainable due to the rapid growth of global internet traffic demand, primarily driven by increasing customer usage. This research investigates the design and development of the GUI and how it addresses technical impediments. The proposed solution is evaluated and compared with the manual approach, demonstrating its ability to simplify capacity management for network engineers and reduce friction throughout the process. To gain a deeper understanding of this new module's impact on the overall infrastructure, the research delves into the design, reasoning, and architecture of the user interface, showing that the GUI enables faster planning times. By adopting the Graphical User Interface, network engineers can streamline their workflow, reduce manual effort, and focus on higher-level tasks. |
