Abstract:

Over the last decade, significant developments have occurred in the field of Additive manufacturing. New manufacturing processes and materials are introduced. The study includes the metallic material and the additive manufacturing processes linked to it. The article covers different metallic materials such as Copper alloys (GR Cop 42 & 84), High temperature refractory alloys, Shape memory alloys, magnetic alloys and multi material additive manufacturing. Furthermore, the study includes the effects of utilizing different process and process parameter like scanning speed, hatch distance power density on material properties like thermal conductivity, magnetic properties, material tensile strengths, micro structure of the grains etc. the paper also discuss the utilization of above mentioned material and manufacturing in industries like aerospace, automotive, and medical. shows the importance of Additive manufacturing
