The automotive industry is constantly evolving, and one of the most important trends is the increasing connectivity between vehicles and other systems. This connectivity allows for a variety of benefits, such as improved safety, efficiency, and comfort. This thesis focuses on the analysis and implementation of a communication protocol between a Navigation System and the Control Unit of a vehicle. The protocol will allow for the rapid and automatic exchange of data between the user and the vehicle, including information about the route, the weather forecast, and the vehicle’s status. The collected data will be further used to improve the motor efficiency through a thermal control.
