Abstract: |
This thesis work, developed in collaboration with AvioAero - A GE Aviation Business, has the goal to analyse the linear forced response of a bladed disk and to validate the implementation of the analytical methods. It is analysed the linear forced response firstly in Matlab GUI using the tool named @Forced and then in ANSYS Apdl. In @Forced the forced response is implemented starting from the definition of modal work while in ANSYS it is applied the Mode-Superposition method. After the first validation of the procedure, the results are compared with the data derived from the experimental analysis to evaluate the errors in terms of maximum amplitude and corresponding frequency. The model used in this thesis is the bladed disk of ARIAS project; this thesis work, in fact, is the result of a collaboration with the European project ARiAS (Advanced Research into Aeromechanical Solutions) which focuses on improving current design methods for aircraft engine components, with the aim of predicting and quantifying the aeromechanical vibrations induced within them and the AerMec laboratory of Politecnico di Torino, where the experimental activity was conducted. From the obtained results, it is possible to verify the reliability of the numerical model implemented in Matlab respect to what is observed experimentally and in ANSYS. |
