Abstract
Today plastics are everywhere, try to imagine a world without plastic. Lots of things could be made of other materials. Eyglasses could be made of glass and metal, computer cases of sheet metal, automobiles without plastic would became heavier and consume more fuel, frisbees would not exist, nor would compact disc. The list coud go on and on. We would inhabit a different world, parallel perhaps, better probably, worst maybe but certainly not the same place.1 The main aim of this thesis is to focus all the attention on the importance that plastics had have during the developing life of the humankind and on the better management of the plastic waste.
Through the development of this material during the age, there is an analysis of the molecular structure of plastic and how it acts during the reciclyng process, until arriving to Lifeguard Tower built of recycled plastic block on the Manhattan Beach in California
