Abstract: |
The aim of this thesis is to give a brief overview of some experiments on the high-strength aluminum alloys of the 6xxx and 7xxx series and to analyse their main mechanical properties in the light of the test results. Firstly, a literature presentation on aluminum, aluminum alloys and their warm forming is given, followed by an overview of the current applications (with emphasis on the automotive sector), properties and problems of aluminum alloys. In the next sections, which form the main part of this report, aluminum alloys AA6016, AA7021 and AA7046 are selected for detailed experimental analyses related to the warm forming process, showing the results of individual experiments including data and figures, including tensile tests, hardness tests, and metallography; and finally conclusions are drawn. |
