Abstract: |
Relationship between business angels and Italian innovative startup. Today, there is growing attention on innovation and on entrepreneurship as a source of innovation. However, we need to examine how it is possible to improve that innovation. Business Angels can be a driver of that. Firstly, the present thesis aims to identify the main peculiarities of "Innovative startups with a significant social aim". In more detail, their life cycle and the main financing solutions are presented in the first two chapters. Secondly, the thesis explores the inherent connections that startups have with innovation processes, and the main stages and the problems that characterized them. For this reason, the concept of shared value and then the problems that affect the supply of capital were analyzed. Finally, a study on business angels and their characteristics was carried out. In more detail, an analysis of the business angels operating in Italy, using data collected in 2020 and 2021. Subsequently, a mapping of business angels operating in Italy at the beginning of 2022 was carried out. The purpose of the analyses was to make a comparison between business angels operating in 2020 and in 2021, highlighting the relevant trends in the preferences in terms of investment behavior. The data were also compared with those collected in 2022. |
