The aim of the thesis is to exhibit the process and impact of workplace improvement through the application of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) methodology and Industry 4.0 principles. The first mentioned represents a complete guideline of both technical and managerial standards, adopted in automotive field to reach excellence. The second one is, instead, the outcome of the dramatic technological growth faced in the last decade. A merged approach of the two policies leads to a multitude of strategical solutions, one of which will be defended in the dissertation as it represents the work carried out in the 6 months trainee with FPT Industrial.
