This thesis aims to compare the economic performance of social innovation startups with that of innovation startups without a declared social aim, in order to investigate whether or not the fact of operating with social goals affects the performance of the startup. In order to do so, we started in the first chapter with a literature review, identifying the various components of the social entrepreneurship world, and then, in the second chapter, analysing in more detail the concept of social innovation and especially of Corporate Social Innovation. In the third chapter, we then dealt theoretically with the subject of regression analysis, the tool used to carry out our analyses, giving a general overview of the various types of regression that exist in order to understand which was the most suitable for our purposes.
