Abstract: |
The main objective of the experiment is the evaluation of the dynamics of the wheels of a car model (the radio controlled Losi 5ive-T 2.0 1:5). This study requires some laboratory tests in order to obtain stiffness characteristic. The first test to be done is a static test, in order to evaluate the static stiffness of the tire. Then a dynamic test is required to evaluate the dynamic behaviour. After the experimental tests a FEM simulation is done to investigate the dynamics in a numeric way. As it will be explained, this kind of wheel has several components that can modify the wheel dynamics. For this reason, multiple tests must be done with all the possible configurations of these components. |
