Abstract:

In a world towards the electrification, one of the critical aspects to solve/optimize is the storage of the energy for a future use or for a mobility scope, in this specific case, the battery packs. That is where the management systems take a lead role, by optimizing and ensuring their correct use leading into a maximization of the life of the batteries, which means less waste, less price and a step forward of an electrified world and mobility As mentioned before, the automotive industry is pointing in the direction of the electric and hybrid vehicles with an increasing demand of efficient and economic storage systems, so it is the perfect time to invest in the development and research of this engineering field\\ An accurate measurement of the principal elements of the battery pack is fundamental in order to have a robust estimation of the state of charge and state of health of the battery, and to ensure a correct functioning of the safety system with a fast response in case of any dangerous situation The objective of this thesis consist in develop the hardware and firmware of an efficient monitor system of the principal elements of the battery pack as current, voltage and temperature for a battery management system integration for the first battery pack prototype of the company BeonD s.r.l
