Abstract: |
Thanks to this project, i had the opportunity to more closely approach the ERP systems functioning and logics and apply them to the integrated laundry services industry. More specifically in fact, the idea of this thesis has arisen from the willingness of a customer to amplify the scope of its current management software in order to improve inventory visibility and monitoring and manage material planning. Therefore, the following pages are first going to analyse the industry characteristics and business operations that have pushed the company towards todays technologies for supply chain management. Then, a model on Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations has been build, in order to show what the company could expect to achieve by integrating new functionalities into its current ERP system. Lastly, change management actions that the company should undertake in order to gain the benefit arising from the project have been discussed. In fact, both actions related to BPR and social and organizational context are required when companies decide to pursue IT projects. |
