Abstract:

Integration of safety legislations on Vehicle Design A thesis dedicated to integrate the passive safety, in detail, the leg form impact on front vehicle performance. The logic, is to conbine the constraints of diverse legislations as well as the regulations in different market around the world, to create a global limit which once the vehicle pass this limit, it fulfills all the others. The analysis and optimization was based on a virtual model using ANSA to create discrete properties of bumper foam, and analysis the calculation result of the impact simulation. All the output data are taken into consider to create a performance parameter to compare the performance. The performance parameters, as discrete points input, can form a continous surface with the mathematic model regression. With the help of Matlab, the regression can fit the real case very closely, and predict the potential points with better performance. This process can be also used for other engineering cases. Use regression models and matlab to find relationships between input parameters and performance outputs to analysize the model and improve the final performance by prediction.
