Abstract:

In this work, the influence of type and size of elements is investigated at component level by building valid EFEM models of different transmission cross members, made of different shapes and materials. Each model has been studied starting from a finite element analysis. It includes, in particular, the modal analysis for each component, the MAC matrix for the correlation of the different mode shapes of the cross members and then the validation of the models. In second place, the EFEM analysis has been set and the validation of the models and results have been obtained. The work contains all the reports, pictures and used scripts.
