Abstract:

Fintech radically influenced people's everyday life with the aim to create an utopian "financial world" in which each person can access Finance without being backed by a bank or an expertise's advisory. The Thesis will provide definitions of Fintech and how does it work, contextualising with the world changing and evolving. It will deal with the causes that brought Fintech to light, the change in the needs of the people and the politics of the european government to react the disruptive innovation. It will also trying to understand its challanges and objectives for the future analysing possible catalysts and limitators. After having focused on one specific subsector of the Fintech, "Payment", and having analysed the Italian situation, from an economical to a regulatory point of view, the Italian case of an enterprise, Satispay, will be analised, highlighting its path from start-up to actual firm and focusing on what impact it had on the Italian economy and culture.
