Abstract:

Building is the process of assembling all the components onto a tyre building drum. So it include first stage and the second stage .In the first stage operation, where inner liner, body plies and sidewalls are wrapped around the drum, the beads are placed and the assembly turned over the bead. In the second stage operation, the carcass of the tyre is inflated, then the belt package and tread are applied. The final product of the TBM (Tyre building machine) process is called a green tyre, where green refers to the uncured state. Some building machine has only one stage like VMI. My focus is only on 2 stages building machine like ATP. Setups in building has been considered as, one of the most commonly observed and an unavoidable phenomenon in TBM process, which is also a major source of economic losses resulting due to waste and loss of time. Generally, A particular building machine has the capability to produce more than 2 IP5s size is called YO-YO. The objective of the project is to integrate in the digital Platform called DPEP (Digital Planning Experience Platform), and the dashboard to help the factory planner and the central logistics to allocate the YO-YO sizes in order to optimize the setups. The work normally deals with the creation of heat map of the setups in the building area, In order to create a heat map matrix, the various tooling clusterization and material classification are considered. The standard setup time for each material and tooling changes are recorded manually in the stopwatch. Depends on the particular material change and tooling cluster change for each size (IP5), the theoretical setup time is calculated. Based upon the level of difficulty from one size to another size in the setup, the time are categorized. Hence, this tool will be particularly useful for the factory planners to understand and plan accordingly the respective sizes should enter in the building machine. Increase in Industrial efficiencies in terms of volumes and transformation cost is reduced. ??
