Abstract:

This thesis is the result of a three-month internship undertaken as Supply Chain Analyst at Secrid, a Dutch pocket-wear brand Company based in the Hague. The core product of the company is a Cardprotector, first produced and patented in 2009. In the last ten years, the company has experienced a fast growth in sales and network connections, which led to a large number of products produced. The increasing of products requests worldwide created some difficulties in the inventory management and demand planning. The initial aim of the internship was to study and analyse an Inventory Management Software called NetStock, in order to better manage the large volume of products. The results of this first analysis revealed that NetStock requisites were not met due to lack of quality data in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software NetSuite. Consequently, a Data Analysis and Data Cleaning have been applied using a lean approach and the FMECA analysis (Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis). The goal was to solve an issue with a negative inventory and perform a root analysis of the problem. As a result, corrective actions have been taken and improvement solutions have been proposed.
