Abstract:

Expanded and supported agricultural efficiency is important to meet the increasing re- quests for nourishment and vitality in the globe. An accurate analysis of the energy consumption of agricultural machinery allows improving the efficiency and productivity of various field operations, reduce production cost, increase yield, and improve sustain- ability. In this thesis project have been developed and modeled the main components which constitute the hydraulic system of an Agricultural Tractor using different tools as AMESim, Matlab/Simulink, Solidworks, in order to perform it and allow designers and users to eval- uate the losses of physical equipment. In detail, has been modeled the piston axial pumps that supply all components along the high/ low-pressure lines of the system and the validation of these comparing with dynamic characteristics provided by the producing company. In addition, has been realized the model of the Electro-Hydraulic Remotes Controls used to add the mostly implements on the tractor in which has been conducted the main energy consumption analysis varying different operating conditions as loads, flow rate and oil temperature. Consequently, following the systems’ high-pressure line, has been approached to the dynamic of the mechanical-hydraulic components developing the models of the steering and suspension and taking into account the primary param- eters influencing the global energy losses. In order to validate these simulation models, has been conducted multiple experimental tests on the field either in steady state and dynamic, expressly realized for each component or operating conditions, and acquired the data from the cRio (National Instrument) implementing the code in Labview. In conclusion, following an accurate analysis of the system, has been tested and verified the reliability of the models to predict the real energy consumption of the tractor and made usable for future applications, implementation, and market analysis.
