Abstract
This project seeks to automate the management of supplier orders as a short-term solution for the reduction of inventory in a company in the automotive sector. This is because of the production stoppages, which is due to various causes that occurred in past months, and the lack of control in the supplier orders, caused a considerable increase in the last months in the inventory stored in the component warehouses. A computer program is created by means of excel macros, which receiving different types of data (inventory, purchases and sales historical data, current inventory, demand, pending orders to arrive and lead time from suppliers) informs how to proceed with respect to supplier orders for each component.
