Abstract:

INTRODUZIONE

Il lavoro della presente tesi di Laurea Magistrale "Automation and Occupant Behaviour for energy savings in buildings. Application to a reai nZEB: CorTau House" ha avuto inizio I' 1 Aprile 2016 e si è concluso con la consegna il 9 Dicembre 2016.

Lo sviluppo di questo lavoro può essere diviso in tre fasi.

Una prima fase, di indagine sui sistemi di automazione, sviluppata nel Dipartimento di Energia (DENERG) del Politecnico di Torino.

Una seconda fase, di analisi statistica, sviluppata nel Dipartimento di Energia (FBTA - Fachgebiet Bauphysik & Technischer Ausbau) del KIT - Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie), in Germania, sotto la guida del Correlatore Marcel Schweiker.

Una terza fase, di simulazione energetica del caso studio CorTau House, sviluppata nel Dipartimento di Energia (DENERG) del Politecnico di Torino sotto la guida del Relatore Prof. Stefano Paolo Corgnati e della Correlatrice Valentina Fabi.

L'obiettivo di questa tesi è dimostrare come, attraverso l'uso di sistemi automatizzati negli edifici residenziali e di una buona interazione dell'occupante con essi, è possibile ottenere un notevole risparmio energetico.

Questo lavoro di ricerca è stato possibile inizialmente andando a studiare un database di questionari formulati qualche anno fa dai ricercatori Marcel Schweiker e Rune Korsholm Andersen per due progetti di ricerca differenti, aventi scopi e dati diversi. Ad ogni modo, l'ampio numero di dati ha consentito di analizzare i comportamenti di utenti di diverse fasce d'età, sesso e provenienza di ognuno di essi.

Da un'analisi statistica di regressione, in seguito, è stato possibile ottenere una serie di comportamenti diversi da parte dei partecipanti e capire come le persone, in generale, preferiscono agire per stabilire delle condizioni di comfort nella propria abitazione.

Alcuni dei risultati ottenuti da questo lavoro sono stati utilizzati per l'ultima parte della tesi relativa alla simulazione energetica del caso studio CorTau House.

In quest'ultima fase, lo scopo principale è stato quello di simulare il comportamento energetico dell'edificio in questione andando a differenziare le prestazioni energetiche ottenute in relazione al tipo di utente.

Due sono i profili utente utilizzati: "standard consumer" (SC) e "low consumer" (LC) che corrispondono rispettivamente ad un modello di utente che agisce con una maggiore interazione e uno che agisce con una minore interazione con la propria casa.

Questi due profili sono stati scelti sulla base di dati di riferimento presi dalla letteratura. Si hanno, quindi, due situazioni differenti: la prima nella quale vi è un maggiore fabbisogno energetico annuo; la seconda nella quale, al contrario della prima, vi è un minore fabbisogno energetico annuo, entrambi riferiti a riscaldamento, raffrescamento, illuminazione e apparecchiature.

I fabbisogni ottenuti dalla simulazione di questi due profili sono stati poi incrementati rispettivamente con la classe C (di riferimento) e la classe B dei sistemi BAC, seguendo quanto prescrive la normativa EN - 15232 "Energy Performance of Buildings - Impact of Building Automation, Controls and Building Management". Un'ulteriore simulazione energetica è stata fatta implementando con IDA ICE un dato statistico ottenuto dall'analisi di regressione dei questionari: lo stato della finestra (aperta/chiusa). È stato preso come riferimento il T50 che corrisponde al 50% di possibilità che l'utente preferisca la finestra aperta o chiusa al di sopra di una determinata temperatura. Di conseguenza, si presuppone che, superata questa temperatura, le finestre si aprano/chiudano automaticamente.

Concludendo, si è potuto stabilire che, diversi livelli di automazione e controllo consentono di ottenere diverse domande di energia nelle abitazioni. Inoltre, la domanda di energia varia non solo attraverso l'applicazione dei BACs ma anche variando le interazioni dell'occupante con l'abitazione stessa. Unendo i due aspetti, si ottengono edifici con fabbisogni energetici molto bassi e qualità prestazionali elevate.
