Abstract:

This thesis will discuss strategic pathways to enhance the market performance of the company in the oil filter industry, with a focus on Switzerland and the United Kingdom. By addressing key challenges such as limited market share, pricing inefficiencies, and operational gaps, the research identifies actionable strategies that align with regional market dynamics and global trends in sustainability. The analysis employs quality engineering tools including Quality Function Deployment, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis to evaluate operational performance and dealer priorities. Furthermore, a SWOT analysis evaluates both internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external threats and opportunities. These methodologies reveal insights related to pricing strategies, enhanced dealer engagement, and the integration of sustainability into product innovation. The strategic recommendations focus on leveraging the company's strengths in technical innovation and product quality while addressing operational inefficiencies through data-driven pricing systems, digital transformation, and loyalty-driven dealer programs. A phased implementation roadmap outlines short-term actions, medium-term growth strategies, and long-term goals, ensuring feasibility in alignment with the company's broader objectives. The findings support the company's goal of achieving sustainable growth and maintaining competitiveness by providing a clear framework for process enhancement and strategic realignment. This thesis concludes with actionable recommendations that prioritize operational efficiency, tailored strategies, and improved dealer engagement to achieve market leadership.
