Micro stops reduction in manufacturing lines: the Martur Fompak International case

The micro stops can have a quite high impact on the performances of the production lines. In the thesis project, developed in the Martur Fompak International company, in the Grugliasco plant, it has been analyzed the micro stops of a part of the assembly line. This study was done because the micro stops had a negative influence on the producion perfomances. So, the aim of the project was to reduce as much as possible the micro stops in order to increase the efficiency. The Lean Manufacturing approach has been followed to reach the improvements.
