Abstract:

The significant technology revolution of the XXI century brought to multiple changes within companies all over the world, promoting the massive use of internet and digital supports to facilitate working processes. However, some firms like VHIT S.p.A. Bosch Group are taking full-on this concept becoming one of the so known Industries 4.0. One of the key pillars of these industries is the extreme digitization of the processes for increasing their quality and a having a continuous data analysis. Being part of the Bosch Group, the company employs the Bosch Production System (BPS) which gives a standard approach to several aspects. One of these, is the systematic creation of projects in order to have a Continuous Improvement Process (CIP). One of these projects, which are called “System CIP” projects, is what this thesis is based on, and its aim is the digitization of the operators training process. For an effective realization, the BPS approach was combined with some tools of the project management. The first chapter gives an overall view of the project management, briefly showing all its phases. The second chapter is focused on the history and composition of the Bosch Group and especially on VHIT S.p.A., the company that allowed the making of the project. The third chapter foresees the exhibition of the case study and the reasons that brought to the development of the project. The fourth chapter precisely shows the project management pointing out the activities done on each phase. The fifth chapter effectively exposes what was created and how, from the ideation to the company rollout. The sixth and last chapter shows the achieved results describing the benefits, the critical issues of the project and its possible future development.
