Abstract:

This document contains a brief summary for the coaxial magnetic gearbox in Aerospace domain. The analysis proposed uses several FEM models, to take out the static torque characteristic and the torque density with different inner and outer pair of poles. The document itself conforms to the initial speci fications like the gearbox ratio, imposed by the aircraft architecture. Moreover, an analysis for the traditional and Halbach architecture was conducted, to evaluate the impact in terms of torque density and mass .
