Abstract: |
The thesis deals with the design of a plant aimed at the assembly of the formula student racing car. The project has been done with the coordination of the FSAE students team of the INSIA institute of Madrid, belonging to the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid. The aim is to help the team to gain more knowledge about the industrial physics dealing with production volumes that never ever have been addressed before for this kind of car. The reason why is the business case belonging to the final evaluation for the team, so that to gain competitive advantage. After the first long part related to the dimensioning of working and storage areas of the plant, the second deals with the introduction of the analytic model that can be used for the line balancing and for the introduction of the process variability. In the second part the implementation with the blocks of the libraries of Anylogic is explained step by step. First, the Process Model library has been used to validate the designed lines and to assess process variability; Secondly, the blocks of the Material Handling library are used to provide bidimensional and tridimensional simulations, addressed in the Anylogic free environment first and later exploiting the AutoCAD plant drawing thus simulating processes in the real physical environment. |
