Support to the validation of a 900MW pressurized water reactor simulator. The simulators use is increasing in the science field. Indeed the development of calculation code and simulation tools is making the modeling of a system easier. At EDF the group “Process simulation” is developing simulation tools for the actual operating plants but also for the next generation of nuclear reactors. One main simulator used in this group is SiRENE meaning Renovated Simulator for Studies which is a full scope simulator of a 900MW or 1300MW pressurized water reactor. The main objective of my project is the support to the validation of the 900MW version of SiRENE. It consist in comparing simulated transients to measured ones. The scope of this study is the normal running of the reactor. So one will focus on load changes, house loads or feed water pumps losses. These transients will be studied by following a list of variables. These variables have to be representative of the reactor evolution and its regulation systems. Once the study set up is done, meaning the choice of variables and transients to study is made, one should have a global vision of the reactor behavior in normal running. The selected transients will then be realized on the simulator SiRENE. For this it will be necessary to understand the use of SiRENE but also to know the piloting order of a reactor. Moreover the understanding of the differences between the initial state (steady state before the transient) of SIRENE and the initial state of a real reactor is important to distinct the simulator issues with the physical issues. Finally the comparison of simulated and real transients allows to make some observation about the SIRENE behavior compared to a real reactor. |
