Abstract:

In recent years, the degree of population ageing in China has been deepening. Population ageing in the countryside is an important part of our country's population ageing, and compared with the urban areas, the degree of population ageing in the countryside is deeper, faster, and the situation is more serious. Village public space is the main venue for the activities of the elderly in the village, and along with the economic, social and demographic changes in the countryside, there is an obvious lack of safe and suitable village public space for the activities of the elderly. At the same time, the construction of village public space lacks consideration for the elderly, as the main body of rural life of the elderly, their outdoor activity needs are often ignored. Currently, scholars' age-friendly research focuses on urban settlements and streets, while there are fewer studies on elderly-oriented renewal in the countryside, especially in village public space, so the study is of practical significance for the age-friendly of public space. This study takes village public space as the research object, takes literature reading method, case study method, questionnaire research method and field research method as the main research method, bases on the physiological, psychological, behavioral and demand characteristics of the elderly, and combines domestic and foreign cases of elderly-oriented renewal and reconstruction to carry out the study of age-friendly renewal in village public space. Through a comprehensive and systematic research on the physical and social space of the public space in Moer Village, the current problems of village public space and the needs of the elderly for renovation are summarized at three levels: street space, node space and social participation. On the basis of this, we put forward the age-friendly renewal strategy of village public space, including the four levels of node space, street space, age-friendly space elements and social participation. Finally, taking Moer Village as an example, the transformation design is proposed to transform it by applying the elderly-oriented renewal strategy of village public space in response to the status quo problems summarized in the research, and it is also hoped that this study can provide reference and reference for the aging-adapted transformation of village public space.
