3D Model Preparation and Stress Simulation Analysis of a Pin Pad for a Commercial Vehicle = This thesis will principally deal with the 3D model design (using NX siemens Mach 3 CAD software) of a pin pad which is intended to be mounted on the window glass of a commercial vehicle with optically clear adhesive. Considering as a starting point for the design, the initial style surface sheet body 3D data provided by the OEM as the basis for the client’s expectation of the external appearance. Furthermore, the thesis will highlight the mechanical stress simulations performed using ANSYS 2023 simulation tool in order to validate the design prior to eventual prototype and off tool parts production where the product will undergo design & process validation confirming the physical off tool part design and the quality of the repeatability of the process eventually in Serial Production.
