Abstract:

Prosumer communities have the capability to manage the voltage levels, to avoid congestion, and to autonomously solve other technical problems related to the correct functioning of the electrical grid. This thesis will investigate a distributed solution on the market level that can allow communities to self-regulate their production and consumption according to the current status of the network. A self-regulating community may reduce grid management costs for the system operator. The focus of this thesis will be on balancing infrastructure technical contraints and the profits of individual prosumers.
