Abstract: |
This thesis explores the implementation of a new web portal designed to support the Quality Control Department at Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT Industrial). The portal, developed by an external supplier, aims to help the Customer Support and Quality Department in optimizing the logistics management and technical evaluation of engine components before warranty approval. The research focuses on key aspects of the project, including system architecture definition, requirements gathering with a global team, supplier and development management, and the application of the Agile methodology for organizing project ceremonies. Special attention is given to project status reporting, coordination of new requirements, and bug fixing. The project falls within the domain of Project Management in Information Technology, requiring knowledge in cloud-based software architecture and web applications, security aspects, stakeholders and actors analysis. Additionally, the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, proactivity, and strong organizational and prioritization skills are critical for the initiative’s success. Some practical examples of my work will be provided and analyzed through KPIs. A qualitative overview of the first version of the Web Tool highlights new features and future developments. |
