Abstract:

My thesis project focuses on designing a desktop application for the neurorehabilitation of people with Long Covid, addressing issues related to anxiety that can arise when they aren’t able to concentrate. We are implementing a tool to improve their cognitive abilities. I focused on implementing a Mental Rotation Training Tool, which is an adaptive tool, designed to assess the ability to discern similarities between pairs of images. The primary objective is to explore the nuanced impact of both practice and strategic approaches on enhancing cognitive abilities, thereby contributing significantly to the field of neurorehabilitation. I conducted a thorough analysis of functional and non-functional requirements to ensure an optimal user experience and played a pivotal role in steering the development process, overseeing the incorporation of essential features such as the homepage, login, registration, and administrative area. Afterwords, I implemented the tool.
