With the fast growth of Chinese cities and the gradual emergence of urban problems, it is inevitable for China to adopt urban regeneration strategies that suit the characteristics of Chinese cities. China's urban development has moved past the period of rapid development, and the city is facing very complex development needs. Urban regeneration needs to be considered from a physical aspect and a socio-humanistic and sustainable development perspective. In response to the current condition in China, the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has proposed the concept of "urban repair," which does not yet have a precise definition but is a new concept that combines the experience and theoretical achievements of urban development around the world with Chinese characteristics.
