Abstract:

This Master's thesis work aims to develop a bioink consisting of gelatin methacrylate (GelMA) to create a 3D in vitro model able to give further insights in the study of the cellular crosstalk in pancreatic cancer. The bioink was characterised in terms of mechanical properties (photoreology tests), degradation (weight loss) and cytocompatibility (viability tests). Then, cellular seedings were carried out with fibroblasts (HFF-1 cell line) and both healthy and tumor epithelial pancreatic cells (HPDE and HPDE-KRAS cell lines) to mimic the physiological and pathological conditions, respectively.
