Abstract:

Digital transformation is profoundly changing every aspect of how today's businesses operate and compete. The amount of data that organizations create, manipulate and store continues to grow, driving the need for increased data governance. In addition, IT environments are more complex than ever before, commonly spanning the public cloud, the enterprise data center and multiple devices. At the same time, the business value of data has never been greater than today. The loss of trade secrets or intellectual property (IP) can impact future innovation and profitability. The subject of this discussion will be to answer the problematic: How to promote innovation in a complex environment without hindering a strict safety regulatory framework? To answer this question, we will have to explore and analyze different topics. With data breaches on the rise, companies must remain vigilant to protect their assets. Failure to stay ahead of data threats will result in breaches, tarnished reputations and financial losses. Balanced integration of information security into all business activities provides stability, which in the long run will lead to increased profits. It is in the company's best interest to balance the business and security aspects, but more importantly, to build a very robust business risk management practice into the system.
