Abstract: |
The rise of Industry 4.0 has caused huge variations in manufacturing processes. These modifications, with the consequent benefits in terms of waste and expenses reduction, brought to a strong interest in this application for a lot of companies. Anyway, the implementation of technologies of this type could be complicated for several reasons, such as the complexity of the products, the presence of a lot of different alternatives, or the absence of proper know-how. In order to help companies to deal with these problems, the FCA WCM Training & Consulting department devise a project, known as Industry 4.0 Factory Pool. Such proposal is based on the idea of helping companies in the deployment of these particular solutions, thanks to the expertise of the previously mentioned team in this complex subject. Originally, the intention was to presents to the clients the proposals in a dedicated space; obviously, all the current limitations due to the Covid 19 pandemic make this quite impossible. Despite this, an alternative has been found, namely the presentation of the solutions to customers through the use of virtual tours, a tool that has not to be intended just as a provisional settlement due to the actual situation, but as something that could be employed in a useful and productive way also in the future. |
