Abstract:

The main goal of the thesis is to help a communication agency to work completely in remote, thanks to a software or a set of different softwares that I will examine. Thanks to my work of thesis, I want to synthetize the two main experience that I faced as professional during this year: the internship experience and the Coronavirus health emergency. So, my aim is to show how it was like to work in a communication agency as Louder Italia srl and how it can face a situation of complete smart working, caused by the spread of the epidemy, in order to achieve the same or even better results, in terms of KPI, as a normal period. 2020 will be always remembered as the year in which the World knew COVID-19. The epidemy, started in December in China, arrived in Italy around February. Knowing that the transmission of the virus occurs through respiratory droplets, it was absolutely necessary to avoid crowded places, workplace as well. For the first time, the employees of all firms are forced to work from home and to collaborate just using conference call and online supports. What really fascinated me is that we already had all the tools and technologies that make complete smart working effective and possible, simply we did not use all their features until this historical moment. So, according to me, it is necessary for all kind of firms and public administration as well to better study and know new technologies and their functions, because this period of crisis could be seen as the opportunity to progress and improve skills and capabilities. We are asked to imagine new routines, new methodologies, new kind of communication; we are forced to create a digital revolution for which, fortunately, we have already created the tools. Now is the moment to go deeper in the knowledge of our new instruments, trying to take advantages from a moment of crisis. Starting from this intuition, I propose my work of thesis as a starting point for communication agencies to digitalize and innovate their processes and to be hungrier of novelty in the field of project management and organization. A process of digitalization will surely require a primary step of study and the establishment of rigorous work phases, flow, prioritization of steps and information. For this reason, first I will analyze Louder project management as it was before the spread of Coronavirus, then I will propose how to digitalize each phase, following pattern and needs, analyzed and highlighted in the physical management, in order to face complete smart working. It will be the opportunity to think again about how work is performed and maybe find new and improved way of carrying out projects, correcting old routines and shortening time of execution.
