ERP System implementation in a manufacturing company

This thesis work is about the implementation of an ERP system in an Italian wheels manufacturer company, which had the objective of achieving a greater integration of their business processes and consequently greater efficiency. There are many aspects involved in an ERP SAP implementation, which are addressed in the document, ranging from implementation technologies and strategies, to some technical aspects. In addition, given that the the production department is most critical area of the company this project will focus especially on the production processes and their parameterization in the SAP system solution. In this thesis the initial problems that arise in the company will be presented, then the respective solution to them will be proposed, which is the implementation of an ERP system. Afterwards, it will be described in detail what an ERP system is, its functionality, generalities about the implementation of these systems, and finally it will be described in the detail the production processes of wheels in the company, as well as the working areas and later it will be explained shortly the process of parameterization of this area in the system. It will be also briefly described the other modules to be implemented.
