Abstract: |
The Purpose of this study is to analyze the Piezoelectric energy harvesting technology. The different modeling techniques are studied and compared and after studying the literature review, the optimal shape and material of the cantilever beam and piezoelectric patch is chosen to work on. The Ansys Workbench with the installed piezo and mems extension is used for finite element analysis of the Trapezoidal Cantilevered beam harvester and a command is written in the workbench to connect with the Mechanical ADPL and reading the data output of displacement and voltage for post processing. The voltage output is studied at different resistance loading conditions and to find the optimal resistance of the harvester. The voltage outputs and instantaneous power at different resistances are compared. Finally, the experimental methods are studied, and the experiment is set in Robotics and Dynamics Lab in Hokkaido University, but due to shortage of time and due to shortage of some experimental equipment the experiment could not be completed. |
